Ian is leading BxClinic’s Edinburgh Marathon team, providing training plans and having regular catch-ups to ensure everyone gets to the finish line skilfully and uninjured.
On Sunday May 29, we’re taking a small team of friends, colleagues, and patients with us to Edinburgh for the marathon. Follow us as we prepare.
Ian’s off to London to give our third foot and ankle problems workshop for Body Control Pilates teachers this coming Wednesday, 3rd March.
All in all, this was a valuable experience, and the Army have asked Ian to consider to the Physical Training Corps.
Halfway through, and subjects as diverse as health and safety rules around arduous training, and daily nutrition for a balanced diet have been addressed. I have also gleaned valuable knowledge from other specialists on the course, including dieticians and personal trainers.
There’s quite a lot being written in the press of late about new 3D-printed insoles and shoes, and I wanted to just share a few thoughts on the seemingly amazing new possibilities for footcare that this new age will herald. This will be split into a few posts.
Ian has a wealth of experience directing physical training for soldiers and Army recruits, and is looking forward to learning the Army’s latest thoughts on ‘progressive training techniques in a robust physical environment’ as the Army pamphlet calls it.
Run Norwich is a 10-kilometre road race, organised by Norwich City FC Community Sports Foundation (CSF).
